Zac Efron Talks Kiss With Michelle Pfeiffer seems to be the only thing that the young actor wants to talk about regarding his new film “New Year’s Eve.” Earlier in the night he attended the Hollywood Grauman’s Chinese Theatre premiere of the film and then flew into New York City to promote the new film some more. The night before the film was premiered in the Big Apple.
During one of his press interview, the 34 year old actor told press, “Those things are best to do spontaneous. Have fun and be in the moment. I definitely thought about how it was going to go down. In my mind, the way I pictured it, it was going to be perfect, very romantic, very leading man.”
But things didn’t go as planned and Efron explains further, “Then of course, as we went to film it, right when I went to dip her, a huge piece of confetti went straight into my mouth. I didn’t want to finish the kiss like that, so I spit and went for it. That’s actually in the movie.”
Pfeiffer stated about the kiss, “It wasn’t very sexy, but it was cute.” What do you expect? She is 53 years old kissing basically a child. On a side note, Pfeiffer is an amazing actress!
During a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, Efron made it be known that the kiss he shared with Pfeiffer was very important and a big deal for him. He stated that he took the time to prepare himself for this huge moment. Efron states, “I wanted it to be smooth. This was a big moment for me. I was incredibly nervous about it. So like I was practicing the night before how I was going to execute this kiss.”
During the “Today” show interview, Pfeiffer admitted that the kiss was “A little. It’s always a little bit nerve racking, those kind of scenes, and it was also in the middle of the night. It was one of the coldest nights, I think, in the history of New York City.”
