Beyonce Speaks Out Regarding Plagiarism Dance Moves

Beyonce Knowles has been accused of stealing both dance moves and the visual concepts for her “Countdown” video from a Belgian choreographer named Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. De Keersmaeker told Studio Brussel in an interview that she’s not mad, but that it is clearly plagiarism. She also said,“What’s rude about it is that they don’t even bother about hiding it.”

De Keersmaeker is claiming that Knowles stole the moves from her 1983 piece “Rosas danst Rosas,” and bits from her 1990′s piece “Achterland.” Beyonce has not denied that De Keersmaeker’s work was an influence in her latest video. In fact Beyonce made the following statement,“Clearly, the ballet ‘Rosas danst Rosas’ was one of many references for my video ‘Countdown.’ It was one of the inspirations used to bring the feel and look of the song to life.”

During the black carpet at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards this past Sunday, August 28, Beyonce Knowles wore a gorgeous orange dress. While the paparazzi were snapping away she stated she had a surprise to where she placed her hands on her baby bump. This is when the paparazzi went absolutely crazy and continued snapping away.

At the end of her MTV VMA’s performance, Beyonce dropped the mic, unbutton her purple jacket, and began rubbing her belly. This made her husband Jay-Z jump up from his seat with joy and began applauding ecstatically. His buddy Kanye West showed him much love as well; hugging and patting him in the back.

It’s natural for her now!” she told Us weekly, adding, “I think she’ll be an incredible mother, because she’s always been motherly.”
